Forklift Truck Operative

The Best Connection Crawley are recruiting for a Forklift Truck Operative/Production Assistant on a temp to perm basis/Permanent basis.

Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Pay rate: £11.85 per hour
Shift pattern: Mon-Friday 4pm – 12pm (will train on day shifts for first couple of weeks)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out all winery production operations accurately and in a timely fashion. These production activities will include working on bottling and disgorging lines, plus general cellar activities.
• To operate and supervise automatic and manual transferring activities.
• Forklift driving; Moving and stacking of bottling and cages in safe and organised- manner.
• To accurately complete all work orders and related record keeping documents to ensure full traceability in the wine-making process.
• Maintain the warehouse and production facility in a tidy state- take initiative to clean debris, rubbish and broken glass as needed.

General:

• To work in collaboration with all members of the winery team to ensure smooth operation of the winery and a positive work environment.
• To maintain a safe, clean and tidy work environment at all times and act as a role model in that regard for temporary staff.
• To show initiative in keeping up to date with personal training records and updates to winery Standard Operating Protocols and/or Risk Assessments.
• To undertake any prescribed training as required.
• Undertake other duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the role and any other reasonable management request.
