Strong Bond with Local Haulage Company for The Best Connection

One company which The Best Connection is currently supporting in its recruitment of extra HGV drivers for regular work is Strongserve.  Founded in 1988, Strongserve is 100% owned by the Webb family who have over 50 years' experience in road haulage services spanning three generations.

Strongserve specialises in contract distribution and supplying manufacturers with a 'one stop shop' facility based around a core fleet of vehicles which includes customised liveries if desired.  The company is dedicated to ensuring optimum business activity for its clients.

On behalf of Strongserve, The Best Connection is currently looking for HGV drivers to provide distribution services for leading supermarkets such as Sainsbury's and Tesco.  The rates of pay are £7.50 per hour days (with time and a half after eight hours), £8.00 per hour for nights (time and a half after eight hours), £11.25 per hour for Saturdays and £13.00 per hour on Sundays.

Compliance with Working Time Regulations
Due to new legislation affecting the working time of drivers and other mobile workers operating in tachograph-equipped vehicles, The Best Connection has developed and implemented the necessary systems in order to comply with the government's new regulations.  Clients are invited to contact the company if they would like information about the legislation and how the changes may affect their business.  Lee Crimes, branch manager, said: "Our procedures at The Best Connection have been updated and implemented to address the new requirements and it is important that our clients are familiar with the changes and what they will mean to them."
