Class 1 Day Driver

Salary: £13.50-£14.50

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent.

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a HGV1 drivers for our haulage client based in Challock near Faversham, Kent.

This role entails the driver to deliver a range of goods predominantly on a flatbed trailer, however this is occasionally completed with a curtain side trailer. The start time for this position is 4am and is usually a 11-13 hour day with nights out.
This has potential to be a 16 week temp to perm position for the right candidate.

Drivers must have:

• A valid Class C+E licence with full CPC and Digi card
• Previous Class 1 flatbed experience
• No points preferred.
• Must have good customer service skills and be willing to do nights out.

Role will include:

• Being able to complete a full safety check on your vehicle daily (this maybe paper form or app form training will be given if needed.
• Being able to complete simple delivery paperwork.
• To carry out duties in a productive manner.
• Start times may very but generally between 04:00/05:00 Monday to Friday.

Pay rate £ 14.00 - £15.00 per hour with a minimum of 8 hours per day.
