Contract Type: Temporary, Full time
The Best Connection is working with our client who is a national food warehousing and distribution company. They are based in Durham which is their Northern regional office delivering to a network of shops, café and catering businesses throughout the North East and Scotland. Due to expansion plans they have an immediate requirement for 2 experienced FLT Reach /Warehouse Operatives.
Duties will include:
picking stock from a picking list using FLT Reach and pallet trucks; preparing orders for dispatch; loading & unloading vehicles and general housekeeping. Food background would be an advantage but not essential.
Previous warehouse and picking experience is essential however our client would accept in-house FLT Reach, LLOP or PPT truck licences as they will update these certificates.
Hours of work are: Sunday – Thursday 16.00 – finish up to a 40 hour week with overtime available.
The role is being offered on a possible temporary to permanent basis following a qualifying period.
Hourly rate is £8.40 per hour which will increase to £9.40 per hour once a permanent contract is offered
