Bristol’s Employment Boom Boosts Business Expansion for The Best Connection

Date: 28th Friday, September, 2018

Flexible workforce solutions business, The Best Connection, is responding to Bristol’s meteoric business growth by expanding its footprint in the City.  The company, which is consistently ranked in the UK’s top five driving and industrial employment businesses, has been maintaining its market-leading presence in Bristol since April 2003.  The investment in its current location will see a doubling in size of its office space and an associated recruitment drive to expand its team of consultants and support staff.

“Recent research from Lloyds Bank suggests a growing trend of companies relocating from London to more cost-effective locations in the UK which is creating a business boom for cities such as Bristol.  This geographical rebalance is dependent on several factors being satisfied including infrastructure, suitable transport links and supply of people with vital skill sets.  Temporary labour forms a key part of this dynamic that allows businesses to respond quickly to their own customer demands,” explains Neil Yorke, Director, The Best Connection.

The new development includes the construction of a two-storey office extension to the rear of the original premises and a complete refurbishment of the former reception and operations offices to the front of the building.  The result is a bright modern space with confidential interview pods, a large meeting room, a spacious operations room, additional office space and a new kitchen and rest area for the branch staff.

“With analysts such as EY forecasting a year-on-year growth rate of 2.3% until 2020, Bristol’s businesses will be looking to employment companies to help support their strategic goals.  In response to this, The Best Connection has announced a major investment in a substantial redevelopment and refurbishment of its branch office in Downend to gear up for an increased demand for temporary staffing solutions,” added Yorke.

The expansion will also create new vacancies for recruitment staff and will see the establishment of a South West Regional Office to support the Group’s ambitious growth plans including new branches in the area.  The Best Connection, which adopts a ‘local jobs for local people’ ethos, supplied temporary staff to over 260 clients in 2017 from its Bristol office.

Across its network of 86 branches, The Best Connection employs 875 staff in the UK and North America and has specialised in the provision of temporary staffing solutions to the driving, industrial, warehousing & distribution and retail sectors for the past 27 years.
