Mechanic

**Job Opportunity: Senior Mechanic - FULL TIME**

**Location:** Ashford, Kent

**Salary:** Up to £35,000 per annum

Are you a skilled mechanic with experience in managing vehicles and machinery? We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanic to join our client in Ashford, Kent, as our new Vehicle and Machinery Manager.

**Role Overview:**
As the Senior Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the maintenance of our company vehicles and agricultural/horticultural equipment. This unique position will involve both hands-on mechanical work and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the fleet and equipment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Manage and work alongside a Workshop Fitter to maintain and repair plant, equipment, and vehicles.
• Organize and conduct maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure legal compliance.
• Maintain documentation to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
• Liaise with contract managers to determine equipment needs and manage resources effectively.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on vehicles and plant equipment, prioritizing health and safety.

**Requirements:**

• Demonstrable management experience in a similar field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate service schedules.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations within the sector.
• Previous experience in Agricultural Mechanical Technician or Agricultural Plant Machinery Engineer roles preferred.
